Mayrhofen Train Station is a transportation junction with, at certain times, an exceptionally high frequency. The different transportation “ribbons” are positioned so that they allow a direct linking of all factors: rail, bus transport, taxi-buses, Kiss and Ride facility, car parking garage. A roof form that follows each of the individual areas as they extend in length and that articulates them by using arched forms some flatter, others steeper connects all the functions to create a noticeable and legible overall figure. Rows of trees emphasis the linear design of the train station building.
